| Landing Cottage is located close to the south western shore of Lake Windermere in the small Lakeland village of Lakeside near Newby Bridge. The house was built in 1875 of traditional Lakeland stone and slate. In 1976 the house was extended and opened as a Guest House and following numerous improvements and upgrades continues to provide quality, value for money accommodation with the emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. |

Lakeside is set in the gentle wooded fells of South Lakeland and is an ideal base from which to explore all the attractions and scenery of the Lake District being less than a mile from Newby Bridge and close to Bowness, Windermere, Ambleside, Hawkshead, Cartmel and Grange over Sands, with the market town of Ulverston just a 10 minute drive away. Lakeside is also close to Gummers How and High Dam, ideal places to go for walks. |
| Local Attractions include the Windermere Lake Cruise which sails over 10 miles up England's longest lake Windermere stopping at the towns of Bowness and Ambleside. There is also the Lakeside to Haverthwaite Steam Railway which takes passengers back in time to the bygone era of the steam train. Lakeside is also the home of the ever popular Aquarium of the Lakes with its Virtual Dive Bell, diving ducks as well as many freshwater fish and other creatures native to the local area. |

How to find us Leaving Junction 36 of the M6 follow A590 (Windermere) take 1st exit and follow A590 signposted Newby Bridge. At 1st roundabout take 2nd exit. At 2nd roundabout carry straight on and take 1st right. Go over bridge and past The Swan Hotel. Follow road AA signposted "Aquarium of the Lakes" for approx. one mile. Landing Cottage located on the left hand side. |
